PASS: Path to Academic Success
Rooted in the Lasallian charism of the Christian Brothers, the mission and purpose of the Path to Academic Success (PASS) is to assist students with diverse levels of academic preparation in developing the skills and competencies necessary for success at the college level. The Path to Academic Success is a comprehensive and integrated program for freshmen which provides assistance through a variety of avenues. The cornerstone of the program is small class size with increased time in skill development courses, which allows for added individual attention for the student. Other features of the program include periodic academic progress reports, tutorial assistance, and regular consultation with the program director regarding academic and personal goals.Students will find the demands of their initial PASS sections reasonable yet demanding, and the rapport in these classes a positive factor in their integration into the academic life of the university.
